Q. What is the Proxy URL?

Adelphi Libraries make use of a service called EZProxy to ensure seamless access to databases and other online resources we subscribe to. Instead of signing into dozens of third-party databases or sites, one need only be signed into Adelphi's "single-sign-on" service to get access.

In order for third-party sites to know you are coming from Adelphi, the URL may be rewritten to include the following "prefix":

https://adelphi.idm.oclc.org/login?url=

For example, a journal article with an unmodified URL such as:

https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/19322909.2022.2062521

is rewritten as

https://adelphi.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/19322909.2022.2062521

This is done automatically when you use a link found in OneSearch or elsewhere on the Adelphi Library websites; you do not need to rewrite URLs yourself!

Note: If you see a URL prefix containing "libproxy.adelphi.edu" this is an outdated URL that will not work.

Contact the Library Help Desk (helpdesk@adelphi.edu, 516.877.3340) if you have difficulty accessing the Libraries' online resources.
