Q. Why do I get the message, “You are not authorized to access this resource.”?

The proxy system does not recognize you as a current Adelphi student/faculty/staff member. Possible solutions are in bolded:

  • If you have graduated, you are considered an alumni and may not have access to the full list of resources. Check here for a list of Alumni Databases

  • You are a faculty/staff member of the university. Try using your faculty/staff member account.

  • You are granted a "Special Account" (e.g. Community members, vendors, problematic accounts).  Log in under "Special Accounts". (To request a "Special Account", please contact David Hodges, Associate Dean of Adelphi University Libraries at dhodges@adelphi.edu)

  • Otherwise, Contact the IT Help Desk for assistance.
